Skills and Savvy

• WordPress.org. I know how to create and launch a self-hosted WordPress.org blog (or migrate a blog from Blogspot.com or WordPress.com), and provide hosting services with my business partner, Nico del Castillo through our web services company, Whiskey Cloud.
• Community Development. I’ve built my own community and audience through my personal brand and social media channels, as well as have contributed to the growth of online communities including Appolicious.com and 20Something Bloggers, and am able to leverage a community for a goal or purpose.

Education

I earned a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, in May 2005. I additionally hold a minor in Strategic Communications with a focus in Advertising.

Additional Training and Certification

Yoga. I’m a Yoga Alliance certified teacher, and completed my 200-hour teacher training in November 2009 at CorePower Yoga, Minneapolis (a Yoga Alliance recogonized program). I added an additional 16 hours of training in Boulder, Colorado, through CorePower Yoga’s Extensions Program.

HTML. I completed Basic HTML I and II at the Minneapolis Community and Technical College in 2007.
